🌿 Bula! You're invited to a Kava Session 🌿
Prepare for a night of relaxation and grounded vibes.
We are going old-school with a traditional Fijian drink. Fijians have been drinking kava for centuries—often in large amounts daily—with no ill effects, just a legendary "good buzz." In Polynesian culture, it is considered the ultimate social lubricant for deep conversation.
We have 500g of high-quality root and traditional coconut shells ready to go. If you’ve never tried it, come prepared for an earthy drink that numbs the tongue and mellows the mind.
Time
📅 Date: Saturday, March 21st ⏰ Time: 18:00 📍 Location: Scharnweberstraße 50, Friedrichshain 10247
The details
- The Ritual: We’ll be prepping the "mud" traditionally and serving shells in rounds.
- The Vibe: Chill music and good conversation.
- The Food: I’ll provide fruit chasers and light snacks (best enjoyed on a relatively empty stomach).
- Note: Kava doesn't mix with alcohol, so this is an alcohol-free event.
Bring your most comfortable clothes and get ready to sink into kava mode.
Is it legal?
Germany previously banned kava based on clinical trials suggesting that kava leaves can cause liver problems. However, Fijians have known for centuries that the leaves should never be used; only the root is safe for consumption. The German government has since realized this mistake. While kava currently occupies a legal grey area, we hope for full legalization soon. It is already fully legal in Poland, where we sourced ours.
